Job Description

SOC Manager - SOC, SIEM, MSP, ICS, CyberBased: West MidlandsI am currently working with an end client organisation that is on the lookout for an experience Blue Teamer to join their growing Cyber team.Main responsibilities:

  • Control, manage and plan the functions and tasks of the Managed Security Service.
  • Monitoring and analysing security events to protect business information and assets.
  • Co-ordinating forensic investigations as and when required to support in a controlled environment
  • Escalate any alerts and incident incidents and alerts to appropriate business units for validation/investigation.
  • Provide active defence to cyber-attacks and incidents.
  • Develop and provide key security reporting metrics and KPIs.
  • Direct the SOC processes and operations of the SOC ensuring policies, procedures and objectives align with industry best practices.
  • Overseeing the collection, documentation and research of security events generated by the SOC monitoring platform.
  • Developing and maintaining an incident response management program and submit SOC compliance reports.
  • Experience of performing analysis utilising SIEM technologies, IDS/AV consoles and log management
  • Adhere to regulatory compliance, governing information security and industry best practices.

  • Managing a SOC and or MSS SOC Management experience
  • Prior Security Engineering experience
  • Degree or relevant Cyber Security qualifications - Security+, CEH, GCIA, GCIH, CISSP or similar
