Job Description

As a Senior Cashier, you will be responsible for the operation of the incoming cash and accounts payable cashier function, ensuring that transactions are processed and recorded in a timely, accurate and complete manner. The business is based in Coventry, however the role is remote working.Client DetailsA global business, specialising in the manufacturing, designing and distribution of agriculture fishing and forestry equipment. Established for over 30 years and branched across 20 countries worldwide.DescriptionSenior Cashier duties include:

  • Ensure an efficient process for the processing of retail payments to dealers
  • Coordinate and control payments and incoming cash.
  • Ensure that cash is allocated and accounted for in a timely, complete and accurate manner. Level and ageing of unallocated cash to be in line with local/group KPIs.
  • Periodic reconciliation of accounts including bank, unallocated cash and sundry accounts. Reconciling differences to be identified and addressed in a timely manner.
    • ProfileSenior Cashier desired qualities:
  • Experienced Cashier familiar with high volume/high value payment activities
  • Team player able comfortable liaising/interacting within members from other teams
  • A task-focused individual able to manage and prioritise multiple deadlines, stakeholders, etc
  • A friendly and approachable individual able to build friendships and inspire loyalty, trust and enthusiasm in colleagues and team members
  • Willing to "go the extra mile" when required
  • Well organised and able to multi-task
  • Good double entry/booking keeping/bank and cash applications and posting GL journals
  • System: Excel (look up, total, copy paste) Sun general ledger, Leasing system ILS
