Job Description

Our beliefin people and what they can achieve.Your role at Orbit.Orbit are looking to recruit an experienced, adaptable and driven Project Manager to join our Business Change Team on a 2 year fixed term contract, to lead and deliver a comprehensive programme of improvements across the whole of our Independent Living portfolioof homes.You will need to deliver on the following:An agreed set of specifications and standards applicable to all Independent Living propertiesImprovements across the portfolio that improve the environments and create comfortable, inviting homes for our customersValue for money through effective project management and procurementIncrease customer satisfaction through the scheme improvements and through significant engagement with the projectSome of your key responsibilities will be to:Lead the planning and delivery of all elements of the projectFacilitate the definition of project scope, goals, deliverables and benefitsEnsure customers are at the heart of planning and delivery, fully engaged throughout the project, with regular consultations to understand their specific requirementsWork closely with the IL team and other key business areas, offering our customers a refreshed home environment that meets Orbits quality, energy efficiency and branding standards.Lead tender activity to procure the appropriate suppliers to deliver the projectDefine project tasks, resource requirements & development of project planstimelinesAssess and managing project risk/issuesDevelop and controlling project budgetsLead & manage a virtual project teamSupplier Managementwhich may include the new supplier onboarding process, subject to vetting by our commercial team.Regularly monitor, reporting & presentation of progress of the project to all stakeholdersImplement and management of change control throughout the projectTo be successful in this role of Project Manager you will need to have previous experience working in a similar role at a similar level. It is also essential that you have:Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management and business analysisProven experience of project management & business analysis techniquesProven experience in managing medium to large projectsExcellent stakeholder management experienceProven experience in risk and change managementCommercial experience of leading tenders and managing multiple supplier relationshipsIt is also desirable but not essential to hold the following:Prince 2Have experience working in Housing or a similar sectorWe know that an inclusive environment makes us more accessible and ensures we attract, engage, promote and retain great people.
