Job Description

Job title: Process Assembly Operator Salary Range: £11.00 - £12.00 per hourHours: 37.5-hour week Monday to Friday 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm Rotational shift pattern Location: Coventry 4 month rolling contract working for a leading defence manufacturer. 8 Process Assembly Operators are required with knowledge of working to production plans, building and assembling components for the supply of products into defence/Military industry.Candidates that have worked in a production enviroment, worked to targets and have experience with assembling products would be well received.Due to workload this defence manufacturer based in Coventry requires 8 experienced, dynamic, leading process assembly operators to undergo a 6-month contract role. As a Process Assembly Operator you will be required to:

  • Handle raw materials supplied to work streams.
  • Delivery and set up workload.
  • Accurately place cut material shapes into various tools.
  • Preform tooling and material
  • Mould materials
  • Vac form tooling
  • Composite tooling
  • Steel tooling
  • Safe loading of tools, laminates and performs into compression press, ovens or autoclaves.
  • Finish and assemble of composites components.
  • Pack and label of finished products.
  • Lay-up composite materials.
  • Operate Press machines.
  • Accurately record production data as required.
    • The Process Assembly Operator should have the following skills or experience:
  • Be able to Obtain and pass baseline security clearance
  • Skills, attitudes and behaviours necessary to be competent in the role:
  • Good standard of manual dexterity
  • Good timekeeping
  • Ability to work to written instructions
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexible
  • Able to work a three-shift rotation, if required
  • Committed attitude to Continuous Improvement activities such as 5s etc

  • 4 month rolling contract position
  • £11 - £12 per hour
