Job Description

United Roofing Products (URP) are Devons leading manufacturer of metal roofing sheets, and distributor of industrial products. We supply into the trade for industrial and commercial buildings, as well as direct to consumers and agricultural customers. Providing a rapid made to measure service, we prepare products to your requirements for both roofing sheets and cladding.URP are part of the SIG PLC Group.United Roofing Products are currently looking to recruit an Area Sales Manager who will have responsibility for a portfolio of accounts and new business activity within the South West region.What does the role involveAs an Area Sales Manager, you will provide a solution-based sales approach to both existing and new customers and develop, plan and work against targets within your territory. You will work closely with our internal sales team to maximisecustomer value and develop regional opportunities within your defined territory.There is a strong focus on field activities such as customer and construction site visits with new and existing clients. You will require the ability to sell across the full United Roofing Products portfolio, providing bespoke solutions based on identifying specific customer needs, all the while maintaining the highest standards of customer experience. To help you achieve your potential, you will be supported byyour Senior Management team who will provide mentoring and coaching.The successful candidate will require:

  • Demonstrable experience in sales within B2B industries, preferably within the construction industry
  • Experience in building lasting relationships and have the drive, capability and confidence to make personal visits, presentations and telephone calls to both existing and newcustomers
  • A clear understanding of how to assess markets and devise strategies to win profitable business
  • The ability to think creatively, with high ethical standards
  • Professionalism and excellent organisational skills, as well as being well-organised, self-motivated and self-directed, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical, data management and MS Office skills
  • The drive and determination to succeed
