Job Description

Salary: £9.54 per hourHours of work: 2:30pm - 6pmKameo Recruitment is pleased to be recruiting for an enthusiastic Playworker to join a childrens out of school club in Cottenham. The successful candidate will be supporting childrens play and work, ensuring the smooth running of the club.If you are passionate about caring for children and encouraging their development through play, then keep reading!Duties & Responsibilities of the Playworker

  • Meet & greet children, settling them into activities, and giving tours to new families
  • Set up spaces and resources for children to play independently
  • Support childrens play needs by joining in or supervising
  • Be supportive of the Playleader, putting forward ideas/suggestions
  • Assist with day-to-day administration, record-keeping, cleaning, etc.
  • Be responsible for the children in your direct area, being aware of individual needs, including medical, dietary, behavioural
  • Proactively encourage socialising and play, and deal with any inappropriate or challenging behaviour in line with the Behaviour Policy
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure care standards are met
  • Operate within Policies & Procedures of the company at all times
  • Produce weekly planning, including producing list of resources needed, and organising planned activities
  • Making sure children are signed in and out
  • Producing weekly menu, including food list, and providing snacks for the children
  • Attend courses relevant to enhance your career and benefit the club
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required
  • Initiate new ideas in accordance with best practice, monitoring and evaluating all changes
  • Report any concerns to the playleader, always respecting confidentiality, completing safety checks, and reporting any incidents to the playleader
