Job Description

We are looking for experienced housekeepers/cleaners on a contract basis until Jan 2021 who can work independently and alongside team members and have an eye for detail and great communication skills. Must be available on changeover days which are primarily Saturdays.The Hours: We allow 5 hours for a change over with the preferred day being a Saturday. However, flexibility is required as short breaks mean change over days can fall on any day of the week. Rota’s are issued in advance and we will try to accommodate other commitments where possible.Pay: £8.72 per hourFull Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided for all teams and additional extensive measures in place to protect staff. What its like to work here This role will be primarily based at West Challacombe in Combe Martin which has a beautiful two bed cottage and a five sleep Grade 2* listed manor house. The manor house is cleaned by two people on a changeover, so teamwork is essential.There is a requirement to work in other cottages we manage in surrounding areas on a cover basis. Our cottages are often in remote locations, so your own transport is essential. What youll be doing On change-over days, you’ll make sure that everything’s clean and ready for our guests to arrive. This will include a thorough clean of the property, making beds, H&S compliance checks and leaving a welcome note, fresh milk and flowers for the guests. We’d also like you to keep an eye out for any repairs or odd jobs that need doing, take meter readings and manage your store area. You’ll also be on hand to provide a warm welcome to our visitors and to respond to any questions or queries they may have during their stay.Internally this role is known as Holidays Operation AssistantPlease also read the full role profile, attached to this advert.
