We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Transport Planner operating within the Haulage sector.This is an exciting opportunity to join a well - established company with nearly 30 years working in the Environmental service, Steelworks, Scrap Processing & Road Haulage. They are a trusted partner in industry, who are currently experiencing a period of sustainedgrowth. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working and enthusiastic individual who will work within a small friendly pro-active team within a fast-paced environment.Duties & responsibilities include:* Planning and overseeing all matters related to Drivers, including route & load planning and scheduling. * Liaising with customers and transport drivers. * Costings for Transport moves. * Movement orders & the updating of movement orders. * Responsible for the running of approximately 30 lorries. * Knowledge of Drivers Hours, Tachograph and WTD legislation, as well as Health & Safety. Personal attributes include:* Excellent verbal & written communication. * Proficient in MS Office, including Excel. * Flexible and adaptable attitude showing a willingness to succeed. * Demonstrating a positive and motivated attitude. * Ability to follow instructions and work independently. * Capable to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. * Prioritise workload. Experience in transport planning is essential, as well as a full drivers licence and your own transport.
