Their technology teams consist of several specialist areas including Architecture, Cyber Security, Design Services, Development, Programme Deliveryand Technical Services. The business is on a shared mission to support the companys ambitious growth plans by delivering high-quality products and services, at pace, while remaining focused on ensuring wide-ranging developments and digital services are highlyinnovative, inspiring, on-brand, accessible and intelligent.As Application Solutions Architect you will join a growing architecture team, working horizontally across the Technology department, and with the wider business, to influence stakeholder decisions, deliver business-critical plans and meet architectural standards.While contributing towards the overarching enterprise architecture strategy to ensure it reflects modern application architecture in an ever-changing landscape. Your primary focus will be on technology, enterprise requirements and driving innovation across the application platforms; delivering architecture to underpin the application ecosystem which supports the organisation, while also defining and socialising applicationdesign patterns, developing proof of concepts, and supporting the development of the technical roadmap. And crucially inspiring innovation through researching the current and emerging technologies!Youll join a maturing architecture practice, working with a team of multi-discipline architects and over 150 people within Technology.Youll work across multiple projects that cover our digital offerings, head office systems, distribution, and retail. * Working with business analysts to define & understand the immediate and future needs of our business* Working with sponsors and external partners to shape our future technology strategy* Working with architects to create the building blocks of our application landscape* Owning solutions from inception & design, supporting our delivery teams with governance and technical leadership, and socialising new ways of working with our support community* Contribute to our design authority with peer reviews, guidance, and real-world experienceAbout you...* Solutions Architect with a strong background in application architecture & design* Passion for all things tech & how it can enrich our members digital experience* Experience with mobile and cloud technologies (Azure)* Awareness of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, but dont worry if youre not a practitioner* Experience of working in an agile way, at scale, would be helpful tooSalary: up to £85,000 + good package and a great company to work forLocation: Mostly fully remote with 1-2 days per month in the Derbyshire offices
