About the Facility: Situated in the heart of Londons world-renowned medical district, The Princess Grace Hospital is recognised as one of the best-equipped multidisciplinary private hospitals in the capital. Our dedicated and highly trained team is committed to delivering an exemplary standard of clinical care across all specialties.The Princess Grace Hospital has 127 registered beds, including 90 inpatient, 21 day case, 8 endoscopy, an urgent care unit and a Level 3 intensive care unit containing 9 beds, with 24-hour consultant cover and a high dependency unit. The hospital also has a several specialised centres, including; The London Breast Institute, recognised as one of the best private breast screening and diagnostic treatment centres in the UK; the London Digestive Centre, a highly specialised outpatient facility offering diagnoses and treatments for all conditions of the stomach, small and large intestines, liver, pancreas, and bile ducts; and The Institute of Sport Exercise and Health, a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to sport and exercise medicine. An opportunity has arisen for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to work as part of the Princess Grace Executive Nursing Team to co-ordinate and oversee robust systems and/or processes of quality planning, governance, patients/peoples experience and improvement and network across the wider HCA UK group.We want someone who can support and develop a culture of informed questioning, challenge, trend analysis and triangulation, to ensure lessons are learned and shared and the hospital changes practice in a way which has a positive effect on patient outcomes, experience and safety.The post holder will provide expert advice and guidance to the senior leadership team on all aspects of quality management, take lead responsibility to ensure the learning from adverse incidents and concerns throughout the facility to directly impact on the delivery of high quality evidence base health care, be the lead manager for quality improvement and quality governance, advising and directing staff and senior management on all matters within the facility, able to work under own direction and will be required to interpret and advise on a range of National policies, procedures and legislative regulations. This post will work collaboratively with colleagues from other localities and system groups to develop and build effective networks across the organisation and is an opportunity to make a real difference to the services and care that patients and their families receive.This is a full time role working 37.5hrs per week. We can also offer you support with relocation if you are living outside of London or the UK; subject to terms and conditions.Duties & Responsibilities: The Head of Quality, Governance and Risk is the expert advisor on clinical governance, risk management, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, national and local policy.• Provide direction for HCA international to ensure a patient focussed clinical governance agenda is defined and reported via an annual report to the executive board• They are responsible for ensuring that risk management is embedded throughout the organisation by providing support, advice and guidance on all aspects.• The Head of Quality, Governance and Risk is the lead for the development and implementation of the Risk Management Strategy, and as such will advocate and sponsor risk control and prevention strategies that integrate risk management consideration into everyday management.• Act as HCA Internationals lead for ensuring all services are legally registered within the statutory and regulatory frameworks and are meeting the CQC essential standards and outcomes and all future regulatory assessment/investigation approaches• Providing expert advice and support to the Executive Directors and Senior Managers on matters relating to such areas as risk and incident management, regulatory compliance, complaints resolution, clinical negligence and health and safety.
