Job Description

Job Title: Level 3 Nursery PractitionerLocation: Chislehurst, LondonReed Education are supporting a reputable and nurturing nursery located in the charming town of Chislehurst. They provide a stimulating and safe environment where children aged 0-5 years can learn, play, and grow. With a passionate team and a focus on individualisedcare, they are committed to fostering the development of every child in theircare.They are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our team. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in creating a warm and engaging environment, delivering high-quality care and education to the learners.The position is available for an immediate start or in the coming months.Responsibilities:

  • Promote a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can explore, learn, and develop their skills through age-appropriate activities.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative activities that support childrens physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents/guardians, and other staff members, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Observe and assess childrens progress, keeping accurate records and providing feedback to parents/guardians on their childs development.
  • Support children with personal care routines, including feeding, diaper changing, and maintaining good hygiene practices.
  • Monitor and ensure the well-being of children, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and following established policies and procedures.
  • Actively engage in professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in early childhood education.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Hold a recognized Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working as a Nursery Practitioner or in a similar role is desirable.
  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and its application in an early years setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
