Job Description

Librarian Wayman education is looking for a Librarian to work within a mixed school in Bromley.

  • A Librarian is required from January 2022 to work on a full time basis at this outstanding school.
  • They are looking for an excellent Librarian to join their already strong team to help maintain their high standards.

School informationThis is a good school in Bromley that is a 10 minute walk from the local station and is serviced by multiple bus routes. This school has a good support structure for students and teachers alike and would be great place for an ambitious person to make theirmark.   • Managing the library resources effectively in order to create a safe, stimulating and positive learning environment for all students
  • To maintain positive discipline and promote the well-being and progress of students, providing guidance and advice
  • To engage fully with professional development activities
  • Developing positive relationships with colleagues and students, maintaining effective lines of communication
  • To be responsible for the day-to-day management of the school library service and the administrative routines necessary for an efficient and effective as well as safe library environment.
  • To manage overdue book reminders
  • To optimise the use of ICT both in library management and as an information resource.
  • To develop the library as an area which empowers as well as enables and supports students through the implementation of the library policy, to become resourceful, adaptable and confident members of society.
