Job Description

The Best Connection are proud to be working with our client based in Birtley, which are a large and well-established haulage company.Due to planned growth and commitment they are looking for several C+E drivers.This role will start at approximately 06:00 and will predominantly be Monday to Friday however weekend work will be available when required, this will include sleeping out in the cab 4 to 5 nights a week.In this role you will be doing:

  • Trunk work
  • Vehicle will be loaded for you
  • Checking the load
  • Strapping the load
  • Tramping
    • The rates of pay for this role are as follows:Monday to Friday £10.50 per hour with an uplift to £11.50 an hour for Limited Company Drivers.After 8 hours or a Saturday £15.75 an hour with an uplift to £16.75 an hour for Limited Company Drivers.Sunday £21.00 an hour with an uplift to £22.00 an hour for Limited Company Drivers.Night out rate of £23 a night.We are currently offering online only registrations due to Covid-19.Additional Benefits & Requirements
  • 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)
  • CPC Driver Qualification Card
  • Digi-Card Required
  • Hourly rate as above (not age dependent)
  • Licence - Category C+E
  • Overtime Available
