Job Description

The Role:

  • Will be about working with the business stakeholders and getting to grips with the systems and applications they are currently working with; the legacy area.
  • Happy to work with Business, to understand the direction they are going in, and changes that are coming up in that area.
  • Work as part of a larger project team but also be an individual contributor
  • How defined is the Stock Management roadmap Pretty, they are going to implement Manhattan - the full rollout is 1 or 2 years away to complete.
  • Lots of other exciting stuff to get
Essential Requirements: (Skills, training, qualifications, knowledge and prior experience without which the job holder could not perform this role - this includes internal training courses which are mandatory for job holders)
  • Professional or equivalent warehouse management and technology-based qualification(s)
  • Significant experience of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Automation systems and Processes that support warehouse operations such as Manhattan, SAP EWM, Oracle Suite, Microsoft Dynamics
  • Drive delivery and performance of warehouse management services across including all the sub-processes mentioned above
  • Write the business case for investments and gain internal approval
  • Understand product requirements and user stories
  • Work with internal stakeholders and third parties to drive delivery through a community of practice using multiple teams throughout the development lifecycle
  • Be the recognized expert in the business on the product, the market, relevant technology and the competition
  • Perform product demos to customers and develop relationships with our customers
  • Lead the virtual product team to ensure delivery of agreed objectives and deliverables
  • Monitor, report and improve product and service performance
I would consider candidates from lots of different backgrounds for this:
  1. Experience working in Business roles (within Warehouse, Logistics or Supply Chain - in that order) then moved to work into IT. ( Dependant on experience)
  2. A generalist BA / PM or even Business Partner /
  3. Product role (i.e. Product in job title…)
  4. IT Manager or Application Manager looking after the Manhattan Systems
