They take great pride in displaying their Core Valuesthrough their work and their teams.Job Summary:A key member of the engineering team working closely with the site operations team to drive the way forward on improvement projects. To deliver projects that will assist in driving the culture for change, development and improvement to ensure the site isworld class.Manage multiple projects and coordinate selection and management of engineering contractors as well as liaising with internal functions to achieve successful execution of the projects to agreed time, cost and quality targets.Take projects from concept, through hazard and risk analysis, specification, procurement, installation and commissioning.Lead projects, which are predominantly mechanically focused but will require multi-disciplined engineering input.Responsibilities: Complete project management tasks to ensure projects and other work packages are completed safely, on-time, on-budget and to an acceptable quality standardCo-ordinate other groups on site required for project success e.g. regulatory compliance, R&D, QA, Operations and LogisticsProduce scopes of work and project plans in line with the requirements of Operations and th Engineering teamDevelop capital funding requestsManage scopes, timescales and financial aspects of capital projectsGenerate tracking reports and deliver updates to peers and the leadership team on a regular basis

  • Manage a programme of empty, clean, make safe and demolish redundant plant, equipment and buildings. Supervise construction/dismantling work from start to completion:
    • identify the work
    • identify any safety implications and incorporate suitable mitigation into the work
    • identify if other precautions are necessary, e.g. if a Management of Change form is required
    • plan the work as appropriate
    • prepare the work as appropriate
    • ensure materials and services are in place to support the work
    • select appropriate personnel to carry out the work
    • schedule the work for action
    • submit copies of work orders to Operations for overnight preparation, clearly identify permit requirements and other safety or technical issues
    • supervise the work
    • check and monitor the work
    • ensure the work is satisfactorily completed
    • update records to ensure job traceability and accurate records
Qualifications/Desired Skills:Degree in Mechanical EngineeringRecognised Project Management Qualification (preferable but not essential if suitably experienced)5 years+ project leadership experience in chemical manufacturing environmentDemonstrable experience of new installations and cut & carve projectsDemonstrable experience working with aging plantDemonstrable knowledge of current legislation relevant to regulatory compliance and construction activitiesDemonstrable experience working in Top Tier COMAH environmentCDM 2015IOSH managing Safely / NEBOSH GeneralFamiliarity with engineering disciplines typically involved in capital projectsProcess/Chemical EngineeringMechanical engineeringCivil constructionEC&I engineeringStructuralRewardsCompetitive salary depending on experienceBonusPension4 x salary Death in Service25 days holiday plus statutory
