Job Description

Join a thriving company with over 30 years of industry expertise as their new Accounts/Admin Assistant!GS Foam Concrete Ltd, a successful family-owned enterprise and the UKs leading supplier of foam concrete to the construction and rail sectors, is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to work closely with our Finance Director at their Gatley officein Cheshire.Accounts/Admin AssistantCheshire, SK8 4BN

  • Full time (37.5 hour working week), permanent
  • £23,000 - £28,000 per annum
  • Experience of Sage Cloud required
Please Note: Applicants must be authorised to work in the UKAbout the Role:As our Accounts/Admin Assistant, youll work closely with our Finance Director in our Gatley office, providing essential support in both accounting and administrative tasks. Its an exciting role in a friendly, family-orientated environment, offering stabilityand the chance to contribute meaningfully to our continued success.Key Responsibilities:Accounting:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all accounts enquiries
  • Generate sales invoices and subcontract Payment Applications
  • Conduct matching, batching, and coding of supplier invoices
  • Ensure accurate ledger entries by coding purchase invoices
  • Execute monthly payment runs and reconcile supplier statements
  • Perform bank reconciliations and manage debtors list
  • Set up new suppliers and customers on Sage Cloud accounting software
  • Prepare VAT returns and process staff expenses
Admin:
  • Process employee timesheets and compile working hours data
  • Process employee expense claims and credit card spend
  • Manage Daily Vehicle Checks and record vehicle mileage
  • Assist in hotel and travel bookings
  • Co-ordinate training courses and update staff competency records
  • Support in maintaining accreditations and preparing for annual audits
  • Maintain office filing systems and manage diaries
  • Oversee other office administrative functions
