Job Description

Im currently recruiting a Space Planner for a leading Cheshire based specialist retailer who pride themselves on being a unique and innovative business. In this role, you will be responsible for the optimisation of space and range within their stores via the creation of planograms, ensuring sales and profit are maximised.About the roleYou will be accountable for producing planograms for the companies stores, ensuring an accurate depiction of space and range via the analysis of sales and market data. You will play a lead role in the range review process and the promotional calendar in line with the maintenance of the planograms, ensuring changes and adjustments are implemented when required. You will also be involved in projects related to micro and macro space as well as assisting the Buying, Marketing and Supply Chain teams with other ad hoc space related requirements.About the personTo be considered for this position, you will have experience of working in a Retail Space Planning / Visual Merchandising environment where your experience in the industry will have seen you develop outstanding planogram creation and maintenance skills. You must also be highly analytical, with strong numerical skills and with the ability to forge relationships with others in the business using your influencing and relationship building skills. Exposure to a space planning software package such as JDA, Neilsen, Spaceman, Apollo etc would be advantageous. The company do not have layers of management red tape, so you will have loads of autonomy and accountability.
