Job Description

An exciting opportunity has opened for several Junior and Senior Microbiology Analyststo join a leading Analytical company based around the Cheshire Area and is commutable from areas such as Manchester, Warrington, Crewe, Macclesfield, and other similar areas.You will be joining the Covid-19 testing laboratory where there are several roles available where you will be assigned roles depending on individual experiences.This is an initial 12month contract with the view to go permanent on a full-time basis, a degree of flexibility is required because candidates will be working on rotating early and late shifts, 5days a week meaning some shifts will fall on the weekends (Mon – Sun).The early and late shifts will be as follows:Earlies 6am – 2pmLates 2pm – 10pmSalary from £24,500+ PA depending on experience.Responsibilities:- Receiving biological samples and logging into Lims system- RNA extraction and Real time PCR using QuantStudio5 instruments and following SOPs- Meticulous record keeping and regular calibration/maintenance of laboratory equipment- Maintain a clean working environment and following daily cleaning proceduresRequirements- Honours degree in Microbiology, Biology, or other relevant degree will be considered.- Minimum 12months experience within a laboratory environment- Previous experience of working within an ISO accredited/ Clinical laboratory highly desirable.- Experience with techniques involving the use of PCR / qPCR / RT-qPCR highly desirable.My client is looking for a range of experiences in these roles so please do not be discouraged if you do not satisfy all requirements, training will be provided for roles that you will be required to undertake.Please apply today to avoid missing out on this great opportunity as the company is looking to fill the position ASAP.
