Job Description

Senior Java Developer - Cheshire - Hybrid onsite / offsite - Java Software Engineer, Spring, Open SourceOur client is a fast growing solutions provider, and is looking to hire a Senior Java Developer due to continuous growth.Working in a large team providing support for varied projects including large-scale development, small system improvements, and code fixes.Core Responsibilities will include:

  • Core Java (Java 8 and beyond).
  • Experience with open source frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate.
  • Exposure to database technologies - SQL, Hibernate and Oracle/Postgres.
  • Experience in the development and design of web applications in a JEE environment.
Desirable Skills: (any of the following are advantageous but not essential):
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks, such as jQuery.
  • Experience developing SOAP and REST webservices.
  • Knowledge of unit testing, using JUnit/TestNG and mocking frameworks.
  • Familiarity with web design, CSS, HTML and JSP/Thymeleaf.
  • Experience using modern version control software (such as Git).
  • Experience with developing Tomcat web applications.
Working in a fantastic purpose built office, with great training and promotion prospects, this client will also offer a salary of £40,000 - £50,000 + excellent benefits.The role is based in Cheshire with 3 days onsite and 2 days home based. The role is easily commutable from Staffordshire, Shropshire, Wrexham, Macclesfield and Manchester
