Job Description

Are you an ACA qualified finance professional looking to make the move from practice into industry or your next Finance position Looking to pursue a career in financial control and looking for a role that offers exceptional on-the-job training and opportunitiesfor future progression If yes, this could be your next role!This exceptional, industry leading public sector organisation are currently seeking a Financial Controls Manager to join their high-performing team on a permanent basis in Chesire. You will partner with key finance stakeholders and enable them to delivertargets through the provision of financial control and sound financial advice.The key duties of this Financial Controls Managerrole are as follows:

  • Undertake regular controls testing across finance to ensure compliance and financial robustness. Work with the finance team to develop finance systems enhancements to improve the internal controls.
  • Make recommendations to improve the quality of the control framework within Finance
  • Provide the Assistant Director of Finance and the Finance Director with detailed reports from the results and across finance and oversee the development of financial controls
  • Responsible for the maintenance and ongoing improvement of finance controls, taking an active part in risk identification and management.
  • Involvement and as applicable, ownership of key finance improvement projects.

  • Be able to prioritise and delegate effectively.
  • Experience within Audit or Risk, implementing financial controls.
