Job Description

Avenues is a community where people smile, laugh, grow and achieve great things.We have an exciting opportunity for an Office Administrator to join the Avenues South administration team based in Chertsey, Surrey on a fixed term contract.The role will be 37 hours per week, worked over 5 days Monday to Friday. The role is a fixed term contract until 31st July 2023 with the potential to be extended.In this role you will be part of the Avenues South administration team providing reliable and efficient administration service as well as oversee and manage a file archiving project.

  • Be responsible for accepting weekly deliveries of archive boxes, including moving and handling of archive boxes;
  • Filtering boxes into different sections, and sorting through the contents;
  • Adding file information to the relevant spreadsheet / archive system;
  • Provide administrative support to the PA/team secretaries as required to provide an efficient and high quality administration service;
  • Maintain strict confidentiality;
  • Undertake any other relevant tasks as required.

  • Full driving licence and access to own car for work use - to be able to drive between services/office in Woking and Chertsey
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office packages in an office environment.
  • IT, numeracy and literacy skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow instructions and work to deadlines
  • Ability to work with confidential material and maintain confidentiality in working practices
  • Ability to prioritise own work and be self-motivated
