Job Description

We are looking someone to join the family of financially astute Individuals who have a shared vision and strong collaborative mind-set. This is what has been the story of our Marketing Finance operations team. We work closely with Marketing colleagues andMarketing Vendors and Customers. Hence, we are looking for a candidate with strong business acumen and great stakeholder management. The candidate will need to understand the finance processes and have the ability to translate, explain and simplify those processesto teams outside of the finance world.How will this role contribute towards successThe role owns Marketing expenditure process - ensuring marketing activity follows the accurate accounting processes, showcasing control, governance and commercial support with the vision to drive and support this area of the businessYour Key Responsibilities:Cost management

  • Support the Finance manager (Marketing) to ensure all marketing costs are accurately gained and processes are followed
  • Provide assistance with marketing accrual management - including supervising PO issue status and releases of aged accruals
  • Support supervising Marketing cost related critical metricCommercial Support
  • Management of Marketing Offer sheets - master data, customer emailing and customer acceptance
  • Support in liaising with customers/vendors for invoice/reconciliation/evidence issues
  • Support in validating and paying customer/vendor claims
  • Work closely with Shared Service Centre team to resolve invoice issues
  • Provide input into further development of business processes and reporting to control and monitor divisional costs
  • Provide training to Marketing and Sales teams offering guidance and knowledge across various stages of the marketing finance processes.Reporting
Supports Marketing Finance team with various reporting tasks that provides a view of the marketing cost/budget management.Other / Ad hoc support
  • Support both internal and external audit requests when required
  • Providing additional ad-hoc financial admin support as required by Marketing Finance manager and other members of the Marketing finance team.To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:Skills Required:
  • Qualified/Part Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) (not essential)
  • Up to date knowledge of international accounting standards
  • Experience of working in technology or FMCG sectors (not essential)
  • Hands on experience of using ERP systems (preferably SAP)

  • Strong commercial skills
  • Ability to work in a high pressure environment, take quick and effective decisions and direct others
  • Excellent analytical skills to understand business drivers and interpret financial results
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively at all levels, get key messages across succinctly and work with others
  • Proven track record in demonstrating accountability and ownership; proactive approach
  • Strong influencing skills to persuade management that your conclusions are correct and obtain consensus.
