Job Description

More about the role:

  • Achieve exceptional food standards consistently across employee dining and hospitality.
  • Continuously find opportunities to immerse yourself and your team in the London and regional food scene, through stages, tours and competitions and to be able to identify and deliver new innovations and improvements.
  • Broad knowledge and passion for a wide range of food cultures/concepts and experience of creating seasonal, fresh, current, brilliant dishes.
  • Promote wellbeing through menu design and initiatives including our Ways To Be Well programme.
  • Be an active participant in the wider Restaurant Associates culinary community, through supporting with concept development and implementing new Restaurant Associates food concepts in unit.
  • Liaise with Foodbuy to ensure planet friendly procurement opportunities are maximised including sourcing locally, reducing packaging and purchasing responsibly.
  • Manage and reduce food wastage process nationally.
  • Champion plant-forward eating through quality dishes and menu design.
  • Introduce and manage initiatives to support goal of achieving net zero by 2030.
  • Lead with client conversations and reporting on sustainability matters as required.
  • Ensures food is purchased from correct supply chain to maximise GP.
  • Oversees stocktaking, ensure goods receipting processes are correctly followed, food is stored and prepped to prevent wastage, par levels are appropriate when considering business levels
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of allergens, food safety and hygiene, health and safety, COSHH, HACCP, RIDDOR and relevant audits, EHO, CSC etc.
  • To create a kitchen environment with purpose where our team are inspired to continually strive to deliver excellence and improve.
