Band 6 Caseloading Midwife for Homebirth Deciding where to give birth is an important part of any woman’s preparation for parenthood, be it their first baby or subsequent. Women and their birth partners will want to choose a location where they feel safe, secure and comfortable, and in many cases this will be their own home.At Ashford & St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (ASPH) we are passionate about delivering personalised holistic care to women who chose to deliver at home and this post offers an excellent all round experience in a progressive environment, where midwives will work together to implement and develop a full range of midwifery skills.The is an exciting new post and is suitable for a midwife who is passionate about providing safe, women centered care and will utilise their enthusiasm to be a part of ASPH’s first dedicated homebirth team!This role involves providing direct midwifery care within a safe environment, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating midwifery care. You will be organising and managing antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care. You will also be expected to participate in an on-call rota for your caseload of women.The successful candidate must be a registered midwife who can demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
