Bank Biomedical Scientist (Band 5) COVID-19 LaboratoryThe COVID laboratory at St Peter’s Hospital has full time (37.5hrs per week) BANK vacancies for a Biomedical Scientist Band 5. Shifts are either Early (7am – 3.30) or Late (2.30 – 11pm)Applicants must be HCPC state registered.Bank staff will be trained to run the Abbott Architect and Hologic Panther Analysers and as state registered staff, will be responsible for managing the analysers and work flow. Ideally, the applicant would have previous experience in serology and / or PCR techniques. Experience in virology / microbiology would also be advantageous.Essential qualities we require are an ability to work within a team, and good communication skills. You must demonstrate that you are able to work under pressure, work within a team and meet deadlines.
