Do you enjoy working outdoors with some stock experience and good IT skills We are recruiting for a Yard Operative to work for a facilities management company in their ECO Centre where building materials are stored, based in Cheadle Hulme. This is a permanent position with an hourly rate of £10.41 working 7am-5pm 4 days on/ 4 days off including weekends plus 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays!As Yard Operative you will be working in a busy recycling site, where a range of building materials for highways are stored and includes a salt dome as well as a weighbridge. Working with 2 others, you will be responsible for the efficient stock management and control system on the site.This will include issuing and receiving stock, putting orders on the SAP system as well as conducting cycle counts and annual stock counts and entering on the SAP system. In addition to this, you will be working outdoors to ensure the stock is put away correctly, using a tractor with a shovel (full training provided).It is essential you are used to working outdoors, potentially from a builders merchant environment or recycling centre, with good IT skills (although training will be provided on the SAP system). Previous experience of stock control would be advantageous and a Counterbalance FLT license is also required. You own transport is required for this role due to the location of the depot.
