Job Description

Machine Shop Inspector required for my client based near Chatteris, Cambridgeshire.My client are a manufacturer of equipment for hazardous environments. Their work involves working within the; medical, research, science, power generation, nuclear, oil and gas, petrochemical and water.Machine Shop Inspector Position Overview

  • Responsible for dimensional acceptance of machined & fabricated components, including; in process inspection, final inspection and FAIR.
  • Using standard measuring equipment and / or a Romer arm, Laser Tracker, 3D scanner etc.
Machine Shop Inspector Position Requirements
  • Must be able to read and understand engineering & fabrication drawings.
  • Have an understanding of geometrical tolerancing (preferably BS8888).
  • Competent in using standard measuring equipment, although training will be given.
  • Scanning equipment (Hardware & Software).
  • Experienced in Word & Excel.
Machine Shop Inspector Position Remuneration
  • Salary - £25,000 to £37,500 - dependent upon experience, skills and qualifications.
