2nd Line Support EngineerChatteris£30,000 - £35,000You will be an ambitious 2nd Line Support Engineer with aspirations to grow your experience and career. How does working for a rapidly growing MSP that massively invests in you sound After a very successful year, my client are looking for an experiencedengineer to join the 2nd line team. They have recently won several large contracts which is a game changer for them and now need to add to their friendly and collaborative team.This is a rapidly growing and highly reputable Managed Services Provider (MSP) with a presence across Cambridgeshire and beyond. They specialise in IT support, Cyber Security and VoIP Phone Systems.If you have experience with helpdesk support, youre passionate about IT and want to learn about and deal with a wide variety of technologies, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in a highly sought-after position with a high achievingcompany. You will join an enthusiastic team who provide outstanding customer service and believe in going the extra mile to offer flexible technical support to their clients.So what will I do day to day

  • Provide remote support to resolve problems that the customer is facing relating to any aspect of their IT.
  • Assist 1st line engineers to resolve issues if they require escalation.
  • Tackle more complex issues where 1st line is unable to resolve them.
  • Deliver on technical projects, both for internal as well as customer platforms.
  • Provide on-site technical support at clients premises where necessary.
  • Adhere to defined KPIs and meet the expected SLAs.
  • Consistently contribute to and update documentation.
  • Resolve backup issues if 1st line escalates the problem.
  • Answering calls and responding to tickets from customers when 1st line is busy.
Your experience will cover some or most of this :
  • Some experience within an IT MSP support environment would be mega but not a deal breaker
  • Windows Desktop OS and Mac OS support
  • Windows Server administration (Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, etc.)
  • Office 365 administration
  • Network and network security administration (routers, firewalls, VLANs, WiFi management, etc.)
  • Good working knowledge of PC, laptop and printer hardware
  • Good working knowledge of the full MS Office suite
  • Excellent telephone manner with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrable problem-solving skills with a logical train of thought
