Payment ManagerJob Type: Full-timeLocation: Central LondonSalary: £40,000 -£46,000We are seeking a Payment Manager to oversee our payment functions, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and comply with both internal and external policies. This role is integral to maintaining financial integrity and requires a detail-orientedindividual with strong leadership skills.Day to Day of the Role:Lead and manage the Payment function, covering all payments and grants made by the organisation.Ensure payments are made in accordance with company policies and legal/statutory requirements.Provide guidance to staff on the use of payment-related systems and processes.Process and record payments to suppliers and staff in a timely and accurate manner.Review general ledger reconciliations and manage payroll payments and deductions.Monitor and apply internal control procedures, including the correct capturing of VAT.Support internal and external audit requirements and maintain relevant policies and procedures.Assist with the roll-out of payment systems to larger country programmes.Provide regular updates and training to all users of the payment systems.Validate and approve all payments, purchase, and general ledgers relating to payments.Manage the Payment Function’s work schedule, including training and operational decision-making.Skills & Qualifications:Proven experience in managing payment functions within a large organisation.Strong understanding of financial policies, legal and statutory requirements.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Proficiency in financial software and systems.Ability to provide training and support to staff across the organisation.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits package.A supportive and collaborative work environment.
