Job Description

Growing FinTech requires an Application Support Engineer, Team Lead, to act as a 2nd and 3rd level escalation point for their systems and technology platform while mentoring junior members of the support team and managing operational issues, such as ticketqueues.The job comes with a starting salary of up to £70K p.a. with generous benefits, including a bonus, flexible working, rising pension contribution, 25 days holiday (with an option to buy/sell up to 5 days), income protection, medical insurance etc.Required skills and experience for Application Support Engineer, Team Lead

  • Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Maths or similar IT
  • Supported hosted enterprise applications
  • Managed operations, such as ticket queues
  • Knowledge of and experience with as many of the following as possible:-SQL-Monitoring and scheduling tools-XML-Windows Servers-Virtualisation/Containerisation
  • Highly analytical, capable of deep analysis to solve technical problems
Primary responsibilities as Application Support Engineer, Team Lead
  • Own and manage support for assigned clients at 2nd/3rd line
  • Day to day support management, such as managing ticket queues
  • Mentoring junior members of the support team
  • Monitor infrastructure and application health
  • Service reporting and configuration changes

The Application Support Engineer, Team Lead works a shift rota covering 6 am to 11 pm as follows:
  • Three days a week normal shifts (9 am> 5.30 pm)
  • One day a week early shift (6 am> 2.30 pm)
  • One day a week late shift (2.30 pm> 11 pm)
