Job Description

A global, award-winning, fast-growing company with a sustainability mission at its core is looking for a Technical Account Manager to take responsibility for the coordination of innovation projects generated from both within the business, and with keyglobal branded customers.They were founded on a simple premise, that companies should be able to expect more from their provider. They have moved forward as a business with a focus on design innovation and the utilisation of new materials.As Technical Account Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting New Product Development (NPD) through sourcing and developing of packaging materials
  • Directing projects from initial inception, through the trial stage to onsite approval in line with customer expectations and finally to successful launch stage
  • Conducting and reporting back on Primary and Secondary materials trials and testing ensuring that these are approved and specified
  • Identifying and resolving any issues within the packaging environment
  • Assisting the quality department in ensuring documentation is catalogued
  • Attending industry events and conferences to identify new business opportunities
  • Supporting operations and quality to help resolve any commercial issue impacting customer account performance
  • Providing functional/technical support to customers
  • Completing customer assurance documentation, including specifications, risk assessments, SAQs and supplier documents
  • Setting up approvals for external specifications and relevant technical information in accordance with customer requirements
  • Maintaining and developing the database as well as using the information to complete customer information requests
  • Assisting with preparations to achieve compliance for BRC audits
We are looking for a Technical Account Manager who has the following skills and experience:
  • Experience of working within packaging and in particular food packaging industry
  • Ability to write product specifications and customer quality reports.
  • Strong knowledge of food industry regulations and standards
  • Strong knowledge of Sustainability and Innovations on packaging material
  • Accomplished IT Skills using Microsoft suite of programs (including MS Project)
  • Experience in key account management.
  • Experience with Government SUP Legislation
  • Experience in beneficial cost saving projects.
  • Experience in continuous improvement projects and Risk Mitigation
