Job Description

Opportunity for a senior quality engineer to work with a company that is a global leader for their particular specialism in their field. They are currently looking to bring new technology to their marketplace and are expanding their team to aid this, while also having a portfolio of additional ideas and technologies to develop in the future.You will work closely with the quality manager to support them in maintaining the company QMS and carrying out activities to solve any quality-related issues by using appropriate tools and knowledge. You will also provide support to the design and development team through new product development processes.As the senior quality engineer your duties will include:

  • Supporting the quality manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining processes needed for the company QMS
  • Taking ownership of the CAPA system
  • Supplier and manufacturing partner audit/development
  • Investigation of customer complaints
  • Document control and management
  • Supporting new product development activities ensuring compliance is being met, participating in design review meetings, etc.
    • To apply for the senior quality engineer role, you will need:
  • Previous experience of working in the medical device field
  • Experience with a range of standards and systems such as ISO:13485, 21 CFR 820, ISO:14971, etc.
  • Experience with external directives such as MDD, MDR, etc.
  • Exposure to dealing with the FDA and CE Marking
  • The ability to use quality and problem-solving tools such as 8D, Fishbone Diagrams, 5 Whys, Kaizen, Kepner Tregoe, FMEA, etc.
