RGN Must have NMC licence£18,000-£20,00024hrs per week 9am-5pm on Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Friday and every 2 weeks to work 7am-3pm on TuesdayYou will have an interest and understanding of physical health and care and take responsibility for the planning, delivery and evaluation of care to a designated group of patients detained under the Mental Health Act.You will maintain a current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC).You will be expected to act and practice always within the framework of the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of Practice and its’ supplementary guidance and in line with company policy.You will comply with NMC requirements for revalidation every three years: this will require, reflective discussions, written self-reflections on practice, and obtaining confirming evidence of continued adherence to the NMC codes of practice.You will work to maximise the effective use of resources and to deliver treatment and care in an environment that is conducive to healing and recovery.You will undertake activities that support clinical governance and the smooth running of the hospitalCLINICAL PRACTICE• Health promotion and well-being plus individual plans for patients with/at risk of a long term condition• Adopt a systematic, individual approach to all patient physical healthcare plans and communicate the outcomes both verbally and in writing ensuring all CPA and risk assessment documentation is kept up to date• Manage and treat long-term conditions, in line with national and local policies and hospital needs• Audit medication for therapeutic effectiveness, in accordance with evidence-based practice and national/practice protocols, and work with patients to support adherence to prescribed treatments.• Prioritise health problems, intervening appropriately, to assist the patient in complex, urgent or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care patients in accordance with Health and Safety and Emergency Policy• Implement and participate in vaccination and immunisation programmes for both patients and employees if appropriate• Meet the needs of patients presenting for opportunistic wound care• Diagnose and treat minor illnesses• To provide specialist advice and information to the ward on health and clinical matters• To provide Phlebotomy tasks as required or on request of the Consultant• To ensure the physical healthcare systems are used and implemented accordingly based on assessed need and train staff accordingly• Ensure Code of Conduct and NMC policies and guidelines are adhered to Required skills
