Overview and Responsibilities Position:Family Support Officer & Deputy DSLLocation:Smallfield and Caterham, SurreyHourly Rate:£13.80 - £15.06 per hourSalary:Actual salary £24,652 - £26,904dependant on experience and qualificationsHours:40 hours per week, 8.30am-4.30pm, flexibility within these hours is essential and you are required to work till 5pm one day a week for staff training and meetings. You will be expected to work for periods during the school holidays.Closing date: 17/04/2023 5pmAurora Redehall SchoolRedehall school has 2 campuses; one at Smallfield and one in Caterham. We are looking to recruit a Family Support Office & Deputy DSL. Redehall School caters for students aged between 6 and 19 across the two sites, where the students have difficulties with communication and social interaction, typically associated with Aspergers Syndromeand Autism, which can present as challenging behaviour if experiencing very high levels of anxiety.The campuses share the same Principal and Head of School, however each site has its own Assistant Head and team of Teachers and TAs. Although the sites operate separately on the whole, students and staff do cross between sites occasionally.To take a virtual look around our school please click here:Aurora RedehallMain Purpose: You will work with our pastoral lead and DSL, together with the therapy team in supporting families of students aged 6 to 19 years with ASD and other associated difficulties.Promoting positive attitudes by students and families towards education and to ensure parents are aware of statutory responsibilities.Oversee and support strategies to improve attendance, following attendance policy, monitoring school wide attendance data, and working with individual students and their families with regard to attendance issues.Work in collaboration with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) To follow school safeguarding processes and policies and in collaboration with school staff to develop and share strategies between school/home to improve outcomes for students and their families.Key Duties:
