Job DescriptionAdministrative AssistantLocation: North Downs Hospital, CaterhamHours: 22.5 hours per week, Part-timeSalary: Depending on experience + BenefitsSummary:North Downs Hospital is one of Surreys leading private hospitals with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality healthcare for self pay/insured and NHS patients, conveniently situated close to Caterham. The private hospital offers a wide rangeof treatments and services including minimally invasive surgery, endoscopy procedures, orthopaedic surgery including spinal treatment and pain management, general surgery including hernia surgery, ophthalmology including eye laser surgery, gynaecology, urologyand ear, nose and throat treatments.The role:An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team at North Downs Hospital, based in Caterham.This role is pivotal in supporting the accurate and timely management of patient pathways for the hospital. You will be an integral part of a team who are committed to delivering the highest quality outcomes in a supported environment, where you will bevalued for your skills and expertise.As an Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring patient waiting lists are managed effectively and that reporting on this is accurate and timely. You will need to be data literate and able to manage and prioritise worklists in the patientadministration system.Duties include:

  • Booking of patients for surgery.
  • Ensuring lists are run at full capacity.
  • Working towards NHS targets.
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure patients are fit for surgery.
  • Forming part of a rota to assist in lunch time cover for the main receptionist.
  • Working closely with Consultants and their Secretaries.
This is a part time role working 9-5 on a Thursday and Friday + 1 other day with the opportunity for additional hours as and when required by the business and to assist in holiday cover.What you will bring with you:
