Job Description

Acorn Recruitment is working in partnership with a national electrical contractor who is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent bases.Company Overview:Our client is a reputable electrical contractor based in South Wales. Their company is currently seeking an Quantity Surveyor to work on their multi-million pound projects.The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for all the commercial aspects of projects from appraisal and validation of subcontractor applications.Other responsibilities

Cost valuation reporting
Submissions and negotiations of final accounts
Placing orders
Maintain established profit margins
Price all works in line with current market conditions
Ensure contracts are financially controlled, to budget and to the clients requirements
Manage target costs Help prepare monthly cost reconciliation

Experience, skills and knowledge

Have knowledge of current forms of contract
Be computer literate
Excellent time management skills
A suitable and recognised qualification in building would be an advantage
Have New Build and Refurb experience, commercial and Fit-Out
Excellent communication skills computer literate
Outstanding organisation and time management skills
