Junior Construction Manager (programmer) NEC contractsCardiff/Bridgend/Newport Salary up to £36,000 Ref MR400This is a great opportunity for a junior Construction Manager or Engineer to join a successful Civil Engineering Construction firm based in South Wales.Working throughout South East Wales - but especially in the Cardiff area - they mainly carry out the construction of roads, car parks, retaining walls, marine works, bridges and drainage works. The Companys client list consists predominantly of Local Authorities,other public bodies, developers, and blue-chip companies.Our client is seeking a Construction Manager with experience in programming!For this role our client is offering a competitive starting salary, regular pay reviews, benefits and options for career progression.Working as a Construction Manager you will;

  • Generate collaborative culture and engaging the team.
  • Understanding the contract and law, to assist with the avoidance of conflict and disputes.
  • Making assessments
  • Assessment of the programme (understanding float, time risk allowances concurrency, logic links, Key Dates, programming software) and making decisions.
  • Record keeping.
  • Pricing the work.
  • Risk management.
  • Understanding the Works Information
  • Setting up the Contract Data.
  • Responding to issues within the deadlines dictated by NEC.
In order to be considered for this Construction Manager role you will;
  • Come from a Construction/Civils background
  • Minimum of 2-3 (or more) post graduate experience
  • You will be experienced in the preparation and assessment and Management of Programmes in accordance with NEC.
  • Being local to South Wales will be beneficial
