Job Description

As one of the largest LPG suppliers in the UK and has over 35 years experience providing alternative energy solutions to domestic and commercial customers. This division is a provider of medical gases to a range of customers including NHS and Emergencyservices.With new strategic expansion plans, an opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Cannock managing plant maintenance systems and undertaking site project management. Does this sound like the type of company that can offer you anexciting next step of your careerWorking within a small team of talented Engineers, you will effectively manage all aspects relating to equipment, processes and performance associated with the site. The key responsibilities for your new role are as follows:

  • Effectively manage the site facilities in accordance with business and legislative requirements
  • Provide project management for maintenance and plant development activities, specifically maintenance of safety critical equipment in accordance with legislative requirements
  • Approve any sub-contracted activities which have an impact on H&S within FMG
  • To carry out any other duties as are necessary, in accordance with the requirements of the business, from time to time.
  • Carrying out all maintenance on site as required
  • Assist in the running of routine and non-routine procedures and risk assessments to ensure maintenance is carried out in accordance with the Safety Management System
  • Ensure the correct levels of plant spare stock are maintained
  • Proactively fault find and carry out repairs in a safe and timely
My client is keen to hear from people who posses a Mechanical or Manufacturing based Masters degree (or similar qualification) and extensive experience as a qualified Maintenance or Service Engineer. You will also be able to demonstrate a proven backgroundin PLC control systems and electrical fault finding. Regardless of previous expertise, you will be both motivated and pragmatic, by nature, and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A background in a similar industry would be an added bonus, although not essential.In return, my client is offering a £40,000 salary p.a .
