Job Description

CAD TechnicianHNC, HND, Degree / Graduate in a Construction related discipline or similarCAD Technician - CannockCompetitive Salary, 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays, company pensionHybrid working option (3 days office based, 2 days home based)Successful manufacturing business requiring an ambitious Auto CAD Technician / Designer.The Role

  • As CAD Technician, you are required to work in an expanding and busy design office, producing bespoke layout drawings for estimating, production and site installation of construction systems.
  • You will have a construction related qualification (HNC, HND, Degree / Graduate) and knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • You will produce installation layout drawings and modifying existing layout drawings based on either Architects drawings or comments, customer sketches or surveyor site dimensions.
  • Produce thermal calculations for for installation requirements.
  • Create itemised schedules of components from drawings for estimating and production use.
  • Prepare drawings with delivery schedules and areas of deliveries marked.
The Candidate
  • To be considered for the role of CAD Technician, you will possess an HNC, HND or Degree / Graduate qualification in a relevant construction or manufacturing discipline.
  • An understanding of Drawing Express is desirable.
  • Experience of working on AutoCAD is essential.
  • Ideally an understanding of construction drawing preparation for manufacture.
  • Ability to interpret specifications, plans and technical documents.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite essential.
