Job Description

Area Sales Manager - Construction AccessoriesJob Title: Area Sales Manager - Construction AccessoriesIndustry Sector: Construction Accessories, Groundwork, Reinforced Concrete Spacers, Construction Chemicals, Waterproof & Gas Barriers/ MembranesArea to be covered: Midlands & NorthRemuneration: £40,000-£45,000 + 10% BonusBenefits: Car Allowance or Hybrid Car & Full BenefitsThe role of the Area Sales Manager - Construction Accessories will involve:

  • Field sales position selling a manufactured range of construction accessories, including; engineered technical systems including; reinforced concrete spacers, construction chemicals, waterproof & gas barriers/ membranes
  • Selling direct into groundworkers
  • Responsible for Midlands based depot with £15m revenue responsibility
  • Managing 2 internal sales professionals initially and then an external person once established in the role
  • Personally responsible for circa 25-30 accounts with a turnover of approx. £4m
  • Housing projects up to £60,000 (small order values circa £500-£1,000), commercial projects up to £15m (material values up to £500,000)
  • Couple of days a week in the depot, rest of time on the road or working from home
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Construction Accessories with:
  • Proven track record in field sales within the construction industry
  • Must have sold to groundworkers
  • Open to all construction related product backgrounds
  • Knowledge of; reinforced concrete spacers, construction chemicals, waterproof & gas barriers/ membranes is not essential
  • Minimum 2 years field sales experience, ability to grow into management role
  • Tenacious
  • Self-motivated
  • Customer facing experience
