UX and Visual Designer - BankingA leading Global Bank have requirements for UX and Visual Designer’s based in London on a rolling 3 month contract. These will be paying between £560- £630pd via an umbrellaKey criteriaWho we’re looking for:• In this role, you will inspire and organise the cross-functional design teams, setting an extremely high bar with your own design work to act as an example that other designers want to follow. You’ll be expected to make important creative calls, so your judgment and decision making skills will be excellent• The role requires a concise communicator with a hardwired creative and business focused mind-set. You will ensure the studio’s output remains up-to date and to the incredibly high standards our stakeholders expect from usWhat you’ll do:• You will kick-off, lead and deliver multiple UX-led projects• Liaise with stakeholders to advise on best approach, process etc.• Plan and lead workshops with end-users and stakeholders• You’ll be happy to provide oversight, as well as working in a hands on / production capacity• Reporting to the UX Director, you will be required to kick-off projects, be a good self-starter but know when to ask for advice and/or more support• You must be prepared to have the boundaries of your knowledge continually challenged by industry developments, business needs and to deliver positive creative that provides tangible results for our customersSkills and experience:• You’ll have been developing responses to complex digital ecosystem problems for a minimum of 7 years• You’ll have good experience and competency across of a wide range of design tools, design software, techniques, UX methodologies and processes• You’ll have broad experience across the full design spectrum• You’ll have the creative ability to constructively challenge and critique key design outputs across design teams• You’ll take accountability for the high quality and sophisticated outputs of all design projects• A solid understanding and experience of cross-platform digital design• Senior UXer with strong stakeholder management skills• Strong Information architecture knowledge• Workshop facilitation• User journey mapping and task flows• Experience maps• Wireframes• Rapid prototyping• Guerrilla testing• Banking experience• Corporate banking an advantage.Essential skills required:• Deep understanding of UCD processes / application design• Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to internal teams and stakeholders alike• Track record of translating business problems and requirements into compelling design experiences• Skills in working across disparate / geographically dispersed teams• Resourcefulness and independence; a desire to find ways to continually improve the service delivered to customers.• Past working experience of developing robust design documentation• Be able to use the usual design and prototyping software to a high standard (Axure, Sketch, Invision, Omnigraffle etc.).• Be able to help plan, develop and execute user research to inform design decisions• Lead in ideas sessions, bringing a visually conceptual perspective
