Job Description

Senior Accountant (RETN UK, UK)Office location: London,Hybrid work format,Competitive salary based on interview resultsWe are medium size fast-growing Telecom Company, which is part of the international group with HQ in London, UK. We are dynamic and agile business with positive attitude and passionate about what we do. To support the growth of our business we are searchingfor a candidate for the position of a Senior Accountant. We are looking for hands on, proactive Senior Accountant who is a team player, but is able to work on their own and will be playing an important role in our expanding team.Job SummaryThe successful candidate will report to Accounting Director, handle full spectrum of Financial, Tax and Accounting issues, responsible for all day-to-day accounting operations of the UK companies and manage a team of two Accountants .Duties andResponsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions,
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end closure in accordance with the IFRS standards,
  • Maintain Fixed assets Register, Prepayments, Accruals, Deferred income,
  • Preparation of management accounts and reports for Group reporting purposes (P&L, Balance sheet, Cash flow statement, Fixed assets movements) including variances analysis,
  • Preparation and filling VAT and Corporation Tax returns, P11D,
  • Preparation of financial statements for UK entities,
  • Ensure compliance with local tax and accounting regulations,
  • Liaise with Group Reporting Manager, external auditors, tax advisers and HMRC,
  • Be responsible for annual audit of UK entities,
  • Additional duties/projects as assigned by management.
Qualification & Experience
  • A degree in Accountingand Finance,
  • Relevant accounting experience (preferably in multi-national company), at least 5 years working in the UK financial/accounting industry,
  • Working knowledge of IFRS standards,
  • Must have solid experience on mentioned above accounting activities,
  • ACCA qualification with 3 years of post-qualification experience,
  • Must have knowledge of current UK tax and statutory requirements,
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office,
  • Prior experience with Sage would be an advantage,
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail,
  • Experience of working with Big 10 audit firms,
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with little supervision,
  • Managerial experience of an accounting team.
