Job Description

Job Title: Network EngineerJob Location: London, UKJob Type: Contract, full-timeResponsibilities:

  • Providing support in all network areas (Internet, Intranet, and Telecommunications) including planning, construction, commissioning, operation, upgrade and maintenance tasks
  • Establish and update network management systems, policies and procedures to comply with relevant regulations and standards
  • Plan and organise network management resources
  • Clarify network management processes and rules according to the company and project management requirements
  • Plan and implement annual network tasks, developing and maintaining plans for the company
  • Identify, assess and upgrade network risks in relevant areas
  • Plan and organise training on IT network areas
  • Organise the network incident investigations
  • Set up emergency mechanism and monitor implementation of this mechanism
  • Communicate with shareholders’ IT departments and learn from their best practices
  • Manage and record relevant evidence in IT network investigations as required
  • Facilitate the role of a backup Server Engineer and also support the IT Service Assistants as needed
    • Knowledge, Experience and qualification:
  • Proven experience working in an IT Network Engineer capacity, working on complicated network environment design and maintenance
  • Experience in network products and services
  • Possession of a CCNP/HCNP certificate or equivalent level would be preferred
  • Network security knowledge (IPS/IDS/DDOS/WAF/SSL/Firewall/VPN)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Approachable demeanor and willing to help across all departments
  • Good multi-tasking skills and ability to work well under pressure
  • You must be a dynamic and hard-working quick learner with the capacity to work autonomously as well as in a team
  • Degree qualification in a relevant Information Technology or Computing subject, or able to demonstrate competent experience
  • Certificates in networking preferred, such as CCIE, HCIE
