Job Description

HR Business PartnerSalary - £60,000 - 70,000 Location: LondonHR Business Partner required to join a non for profit, working alongside the UK government to help achieve the UK goal of becoming Net Zero by 2050.This is a brilliant company with a start up feel, you will be working in a company whereby you matter and the work matters.Duties of the HR Business PartnerPeople Operations

  • Support to deliver People services (learning & development, workforce planning, performance management, payroll, benefits and pension administration)
  • Make suggestions for improvements and best practice across HR processes
  • Oversee the onboarding and exit processes, proving feedback for continual development
  • Oversea the probation period process, advising line managers on extension and termination matters
Employee Relations (ER)
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, processes and forms
  • Legal compliance of all People processes and procedures, enabling best practice to be attained in providing guidance to managers and staff
  • Work across the business to oversee and manage a performance management system
  • Partner with line managers assigned to business area, provide advice on employee issues, coaching managers on how to manage people and resolve employee issues
  • Work with the Office & Facilities Manager to ensure a harm free environment for employees
  • Using your understand of mediation techniques, you will resolve any day to day issues
  • Be an advocate for the People team and represent the function
Learning & Development
  • Support the L&D team with training and career development initiatives to enable people to grow and progress
  • Coach managers on the use of PDPs
  • Promote mandatory eLearning and ensure it is undertaken within prescribed timescales
  • Nurture a positive working environment by embedding the company culture and values in the implementation of all people related initiatives
  • In conjunction with the Internal Communications and Engagement Manager, develop employee wellbeing (and absence) initiatives and support in the review of local engagement survey action plans
Background, Experience and Skills
  • The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level, or have a CIPD Certification
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in compensation and benefits, strategic workforce planning, employee relations, health and safety, diversity and inclusion, and training and development
  • Excellent knowledge of using data and quantitative approaches to develop reports for decision making, and of employment law and mediation practices
  • People oriented, results driven, with good knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • Should have the competence to build and manage relationships at all levels of the company
