Job Description

There has never been a more exciting or challenging time to join the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) as we work towards a post-covid and post-Brexit future. We are continuingto build a diverse MHRA, in an inclusive environment which nurtures and realises potential in all, at all levels.The MHRA are looking for a Deputy Director, Clinical Investigations and Trials. This role will be accountable to the Chief Science and Innovation Officer and will:

  • Be expected to create a sense of purpose for colleagues through highlighting connections between our work and the impact on patients and the public, inspire colleagues to engage fully with the agencys vision and strategic goals, and actively promote thereputation of the agency internally and externally.
  • Will act decisively and make bold, unbiased strategic decisions and will remain visible and approachable to all colleagues and stakeholders and will embed a culture of inclusion and equal opportunity. They will ensure colleagues at all levels are accountableandempowered to make decisions, innovate and challenge constructively without being blamed. Being self-aware and role-modelling continuous self-learning and development.
  • Have a strong understanding and awareness of Clinical Trials, Clinical Investigations regulations, processes and relevant legislation.
