Our business plays a key role in delivering the UKs goals for secure, affordable and sustainable energy. We are a not for profit organisation, searching for a Contracts Manager to join our diverse team of people, who work together to deliver on two of the Governments electricity schemes. This is not a typical contract or commercial management role as performance of the Contracts for Difference (CfD) scheme is not measures against a bottom-line figure but against two key guiding principles; maintaining investors confidence and minimising cost to us as consumers. As we strive for excellence you could be part of a team that delivers the UKs net zero target, sound exciting Then please read on.As our Contract Manager, your role will be to establish and build strong relationships and to proactively support generators to meet their contractual milestones and requirements via the management of the contracts themselves. You will be responsible for the entire contract management and also supports wider scheme delivery and our organisational initiatives. You will have regularly contact with both internal and external teams including Legal, Data & Analytics, Finance, and Ofgem and EMR Settlement Services Providers.We seek someone with a good understanding of the current UK energy policy landscape and regulations or a good understanding of UK power and in particularly the renewables sector. To have analytical and technical contract management expertise and the knowledge of relevant legal, regulatory and contractual management issues would be desired and experience of processing contracts for difference would be beneficial but is not essential. We would like to see demonstrable evidence at interview that you can develop and maintain commercial relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, and that you have sound negotiation, control and compliance skills. Commercial dispute resolution knowledge would again be beneficial but is not essential. Project management requires strong time management and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in the written and verbal form to have this experience, is a must.We are looking for people who are excited by the clean energy agenda and are keen to work closely with government, electricity generators and suppliers to deliver insights and build industry confidence in a constantly changing regulatory environment.
