Job Description

Are you an experienced Shift Engineer looking for a new and exciting role If yes, our client are now recruiting for a Shift Engineer – WWTP to join their team!Our client is a producer of leading British food brands and value-added ingredients. They are committed to providing healthy, tasty and sustainable foods and to play our part in helping to improve the nation’s health. They produce a wide range of market leading brands, including Cathedral City cheese, Clover dairy spread, Country Life butter and Frylight cooking spray. Our client also manufacture specialised ingredients for use in the infant formula, human nutrition and animal feed markets.Shift Engineer responsibilities:

  • Whilst adhering to legislation, HS&E and site standards and engineering good practice, provide engineering reactive resource to the process, attend to breakdowns and stoppages, monitoring, testing and maintenance of the WWTP, water recovery system, site water supplies and other relevant site services functions. Being proactive into assisting shift maintenance engineers to achieve the site PPM.
  • Adhere to environmental consent limits, legislative standards in Water Recovery and Health and Safety and all company requirements.
  • The ideal Shift Engineer:
  • Someone who is computer literate and trained to engineer standards, City & Guilds, HNC, ONC.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate practical engineering skills and enjoy a hands-on approach.
  • A candidate who has an understanding of current relevant legislation.
  • Someone who has the ability to work under pressure, multitask and self-accountable and relishes working in/outdoors
  • A candidate who has a broad understanding of site plant and processes.
  • Someone with a flexible approach to shift cover and be prepared to be called out where necessary.
