Job Description

SDUKs brands include the Nations favourite cheese brand Cathedral City plus other well-known butter & spreads (Clover, Country Life, Vitalite, Utterly Butterly), functional ingredients and dairy free products.Reporting into the area maintenance manager, this role is key for the ongoing support of assets at our large-scale water processing facility (WPF) near to our flagship plant just outside of Davidstow. Youll be working to offer support to maintenance engineersacross their schedules, manage work and risk processes, document work, contractor control, and planning works.This is a hands-on role where you will be leaning on your prior experience working with large-scale pumps, motors, gauges etc. to work autonomously when required, but also as part of the wider team, with broad responsibilities to help identify and drivefault finding activities towards resolving and preventing issues.The scope of work covers planned and reactive maintenance responsibilities across both mechanical and electrical requirements, plant improvements, and continual improvements.This is a Monday-Friday position.YOULL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY…

  • Delivering to a range of reactive and predictive preventative and maintenance schedules.
  • Working with a range of machinery and instrumentation with pumps, motors, valves, agitators, etc. to ensure availability and a reduction of unplanned downtime.
  • Working with other engineering and specialist teams to plan work.
  • Booking work into the maintenance system.
  • Undergoing supported training and development opportunities to progress, whilst looking to support other areas and gain broader experience.
  • Prioritising workload, ensuring production awareness of timescales.
  • Identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
YOURE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE…
  • Experienced working with pumps, misers, valves, gauges, and meters etc., stripping these down, fault finding, cleaning and/or replacing the parts, test running, and putting things back together again.
  • A time-served apprentice, NVQ, or NHC qualified.
  • Able to demonstrate deep mechanical and/or electrical engineering skills.
  • Someone who enjoys a hands-on approach to engineering, working in/outdoors.
  • Able to work in a team, supporting others with their workload and development when required.
  • Comfortable working with different computer systems.
