Organic Chemist Cornwall Full-time permanent roleSalary: £25,000.00-£40,000.00 per yearSeeking Scale Up/Process Development ExperienceA vacancy has arisen for an Organic Chemist with experience of Scale Up/Process Development chemistry within our clients new Scale-up facility.What you’ll do: You will join a fantastic team of hard-working scientists with a strong track record of delivering successful projects. The ideal candidate will bring positivity, and possess excellent communication, team working and people skills and be computer literate.You and the team will be working on developing and optimising existing and new scalable processes.This role will be providing process optimisation / process development from bench up to 50L scale (working consistently over 10L scale).Reporting to a Senior level, you will be expected to take a pro-active approach and work with autonomy and efficiently under minimal supervision.Our client is a contract development and manufacturing organisation and you will be part of a company delivering a first-class service to their clients.Your background: Graduate or PhD in Organic Chemistry. Experience of organic synthesis, strong knowledge of reaction chemistry and experience of working on a range of chemical rection routes.Multiple years of experience in a laboratory based manufacturing and industrial environment. In addition, sound knowledge of interpretating HPLC, GC, MS, and NMR analysis.Practical experience of undertaking crystallisation studies and knowledge of interpreting DSC data would be desirable.We are seeking a good communicator who is able to communicate directly with clients providing regular reports. You will be a collaborative worker who can work on multiple priorities simultaneously.You will be experienced in the use of software for searches such as Reaxys and ELN as well as working under high quality systems. For example ICH Q7 guidelines and/or in a Good manufacturing Practice (GMP) plant would also be desirable.Our client offers a competitive salary and operates flexitime system (37.5 hr week).
