PRODUCTION OPERATIVELocation: Cam, DursleyStart date: ASAPHours of work: 6am-6pm rotating 6pm-6amDays of work: 4 on 4 offHourly rate: £13.00-£14.00 per hourAbout the Production Operative role:We are looking to recruit Production Operatives based at our Cam Factory. The role is to carry out the duties of a Wet Operative and / or packing operating during the normal 4 on 4 off days/nights shift patternTasks & Responsibilities of a Production Operative* Follow all Health & Safety (H&S) policies and procedures to ensure that they and other workers are safe in the site factory environment.* At all times implement and enforce the client Manufacturing Standards as applicable to the role.* Follow all Health & Safety (H&S) policies and procedures to ensure that they and other workers are safe in the site factory environment.* Follow hygiene standards as laid down by the company.* Lift & stack raw materials and finished goods in compliance with manual handling training.* Operate all process & packing machinery and equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)* Ensure all process & packing machinery, equipment and production areas are kept clean & tidy and in-line with the specified cleaning schedules.* At all times ensure areas designated to your role are compliant to internal and external audit standards.* Ensure all paperwork/data entry is completed as required.* Communicate all production issues or non-conformances to the Leading Hand as soon as is appropriate.* Carry out Quality Assurance checks on product being manufactured so as to ensure the factory produces finished goods which meet the required customer specifications. Any non-conformances must be highlighted to the Leading Hand as soon as possible in orderto limit losses.* Ensure samples are taken for Quality Control testing as per procedures.* Carry out Fork Lift Truck (FLT) inspections (quality and H&S) as per timetable and SOPs.
